COMPUTER WORLD: ACER COMPUTERS
I am currently in the process of trying this. Had a few questions: This may seem like a silly question but I have never used this program and I am wondering if we are supposed to leave it open every time we want to play Star Wars? So is this like a third-party program that we launch before we play and leave open during our game session or do we just "set it and forget it" type of deal? So do we just make these changes and then "x" it out and the settings stick?

Mainly regarding other fixes where you right click your swtor. What do we set those to? Currently I have mine at: Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7 I am running Windows 7 b Settings: Disable visual themes, disable desktop composition c Privilege level: Run this program as the administrator 3 Anybody knowledgeable about overclocking?

I am unsure if I should even mess with that at all but if there is a safe level then I would test it without going all out crazy. I am using a GTX card. Anybody have a profile that is very safe to use and won't run the risk of destroying my card?
Should I have V-sync enabled? Should I have shadows off? Should I have everything on high? Now that I have adjusted settings in Nvidia Inspector how do I keep my in-game settings to achieve the results you are seeing?

Haplesscolin Hello, thanks for the tip. The only time you will need to do this is when you update your graphics drivers. I have mine on the default settings as they provided no increase in fps at all, your setup may differ.
I had edited in two more quick questions just before you had replied. Have any insight on those also?
I've tried all of the AA settings and suggestions, all of the tweaks that can be found anywhere on the web, and the fact remains it's just CRAP game-code. There's no reason why a game can run acceptable anywhere else outside of the Fleet stations and Warzones, but once you step onto a fleet station of into a WZ the experience becomes a slideshow.

This is something that Bioware and EA need to workout and workout fast. This is totally unacceptable performance on numerous systems from the look of things here.

I have two accounts, mine and my son's, and on mine I don't have the issue all that much, but I do notice that performance drops considerably in WZ and on Fleet stations, but I'm running two GTX s in SLI on an i5 k system with 8 gigs of memory. But on his system which is a Phenom Quad-Core with 8gigs of memory and a single GT video card it becomes a slide show on Dell Alienware Aurora ALX ATI Radeon HD 6950 Display and in WZs at FPS or less, but everywhere else it's a fairly solid fps.
So I have to believe that the performance issue is simply unoptimized, or bad code on the part of Bioware to yield such totally inconsistent results across the board. Even some with machine specs higher than mine are having the performance issue, so clearly something isn't right with this game. I can't believe this wasn't noticed before in beta too.
You have a great card, much better than mine and like i said changing those settings did nothing for me.
